We received the 2009 Japan Manual Contest's "Excellence Award"

On Aug. 25, 2009, the Technical Communications Symposium was held at Kogakuin University in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
In the 2009 Japan Manual Contest, the start-up sheet for the JVC LCD Monitor "Xiview" LT-42WX70 won the Excellence Award in the Sheet Manuals /Package Manuals Division.
We were delighted to assist JVC in creating the start-up sheet.

The strongest point of this manual was that there were no words in it.

We think that most people have probably had the following thought when setting up a TV:
"I want to quickly finish connecting the cables and watch the TV now! But, I have no idea which cable to connect to which terminal!"

The "Xiview" LT-42WX70 is an LCD monitor and needs to be set up and connected before use like other TVs.
The start-up sheet is a groundbreaking manual that 'explains' the often seen as cumbersome set-up process using only illustrations.
This is a very user and manufacturer-friendly manual for the following reasons:
–the users can finish setting-up the TV just by following the pictures.
–the manufacturer could save time and money on translation and correction.

We are very grateful to JVC for letting us take part in this project.
We are honored that our products were as highly evaluated as last year.
Having received this excellence award, we will keep pursuing even better quality in our manual production.

We received the 2008 Japan Manual Contest's "Manual of the Year"

On Aug. 26, 2008, the Technical Communications Symposium was held at Kogakuin University in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
In the annual Japan Manual Contest, the built-in manual "O-Tasuke-Guide" (Help Guide) for the JVC LCD television “EXE” won two prizes; "Most Outstanding Manual" in the Built-in Manuals Division, and the overall "Manual of the Year".

"Manual of the Year" is the most honorable award in the year, and is given to the best manual that satisfied the seven criteria provided by the Japan Technical Communicators Association:
– easy to understand
– easily searchable
– easy to use
– helpful information
– accurate information
– attractive
– accessible to all users

Mindware assisted JVC in creating the "O-Tasuke-Guide" (Help Guide), which was built in to the TV.
This "O-Tasuke-Guide" is an extremely innovative manual, because users who want to check how to use the TV or don't know what to do can call up information onto the screen which relates to what they're doing. They can then read the explanation and start operating the TV straight away.

We would like to deeply thank JVC for letting us taking part in this project.
We are honored to have been involved with creating such a wonderful manual.
Having received this distinguished award, we will keep pursuing even better quality in our manual production.

The 8th Year Anniversary Party for MinDocu Technology

On Apr. 12, 2008, we held a party at MinDocu Technology Sdn. Bhd. (one of Mindware's overseas subsidiary companies) in Penang, Malaysia to celebrate the 8th anniversary of its founding.

"8" is an auspicious number; the Arabic numeral "8" means "infinity," and the Chinese numeral "八" means "broadening out".
Therefore, we wanted to make this 8th anniversary event special.
We invited all the people who have supported us for a long time and the employees' family members to show them our gratitude.
We reserved a restaurant called AUDEES which is on the island, where about 70 guests gathered to dine together.
Otsuka CEO, three board members and two staff members joined us as the representatives of Mindware, Japan.

For this party, all the members of MinDocu participated in planning, and prepared handmade invitation cards.
On the day, we ourselves hosted the party, taking roles as receptionists, M.C.s, and so on. We were proud of our success in creating the handmade and heart-warming event, and pleased that the guests all seemed very satisfied.

After the party, all the staff members of MinDocu swore to strive to work hard, looking towards the 9th and 10th Anniversary.
